Well, we had to take a little blog break for Christmas and visiting family. Hopefully all of you had a wonderful holiday! Here's a couple things we have been up to...
We've had a lot of rain so the dogs have spent plenty of time cuddling inside...
But Christmas Eve was a sunny beautiful day so we went to Chrissy Field...
|
Kaya got to swim! |
|
And Norman made some friends:) |
|
Are there enough dogs here for Norman to play with? |
|
But this was his main squeeze for the day. |
|
And Kaya got to play her favorite game... |
|
And Norman made more friends... |
|
Then Norman tried to catch her... |
|
But he gave up quickly;) |
Kaya & Norman got new toys for Christmas...
|
Waiting patiently... |
While trying to get a good picture, I realized that I have never taught them a hold command.
I think that will have to be a new years resolution...
|
How can I play with my new toy if you keep telling me to look at you?? |
The next day we went on a road trip...
To Tahoe for our first snow trip of the winter...
Sadly, we head home tomorrow. We'll have a full post about our trip soon though! What have you been up to over the holidays? I hope everyone has a safe and happy new years!
Wow, what a great Christmas! Everything from cuddles to swimming and playing on the beach to frolicking in snow... I'd say you've covered just about everything including the new toys!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they had a fabulous Christmas and the cuddle pictures are so sweet. We had a nice one as well and are looking to settle nicely into 2013.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! It sounds like the three of you had a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteRight after Christmas we started trying to teach Athena the 'hold' command because we want her to learn to put her toys away in her toy basket. We have made zero progress because Athena will not even touch a toy if treats are close by. I keep bonking her in the face with a toy trying to get her to grab it in her mouth but she just clenches her jaw tight and won't open up!
I think I need to look for a new strategy for teaching that...good luck to you!
I look forward to reading about your trip soon!
Ha! I can picture Athena making that face! Kaya & Norman did the same thing. They refused to even sniff the first toys I gave them(not the pictured ones) and I thought they didn't like them, but later they snitched them off the coffee table and then they were a huge hit. Go figure.
DeleteI've used a lot of this guy's videos in the past for training. I'm gonna try this one on holding and putting away toys. We'll see!
There are the faces I missed. And you DID get a good picture with the toys, I love the one with the toy in Kaya's mouth!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think that was a happy accident;)
DeleteSnuggling is very important over the holidays
ReplyDeleteStop on by for a visit

What a great Christmas you all had! The cuddling part is my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time you post photos of your dogs playing in the water with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, I get so crazy jealous! Looks like they were having a ball!
ReplyDeleteI feel so lucky to live so close every time we go there! But it kills me when I see the dogwalkers there. They get to make a living hanging out on the beach, drinking coffees with their dogwalker friends and watching the dogs play!
DeleteHow funny...I just bought Ed a red hoodie and Tess a purple hoodie...just like the snuggling photo!
ReplyDeleteGood choice!
