After we got done schmoozing at
Peaks & Paws, my brother and sister-in-law wanted to head up the gondola and walk around the top of the mountain. So of course, we had to go to too!
|
You can never be too high up for some love. |
This was Kaya and Norman's first time up the gondola, but neither were concerned. The gondola climbs 2000 feet to 8200 feet at high camp!
|
High Camp! |
Then we got to explore! There's something really cool about seeing the chair lifts without all the snow.
|
Say cheese!...or is it dried liver? |
|
We found a cool tree! |
|
And a cool rock! |
Squaw Valley held the 1960 winter Olympics. Kaya had to check out the ice rink and Olympic rings.
|
I took these pictures last summer...it was much snowier! |
We caught one of the last gondola rides on the way down so needless to say, it was a bit more crowded than the way up.
|
Their version. |
|
My version. |
|
They were so tired, they made themselves comfortable on all the feet:) |
It was such a fun day, I can't wait to go back next year!
What a beautiful place!

That is just so cool! I love all the scenery and how much fun the pooches look like they're having fun.
ReplyDeleteHello terrifying! Your pups seriously get to do so much I am in awe all the time!
ReplyDeleteI've got horrible vertigo so going up in something like that would take a lot but it's so pretty I think I would have to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteThere is one part where it swings after you go over the edge...it's fun, but other may think it's scary;D
DeleteWow--that is some beautiful scenery! I think my dogs would be a little nervous going up that high, and so would I :)
ReplyDeleteKaya and Norman were as high up as birds! How exciting! And that tree was so cool...kind of creepy, but really cool :)
