It's hard to believe Shaka's story started way back here. She was such a sad girl, but made a quick turnaround with the help of Norman & Kaya. She was always ready for a cuddle whether from canine, feline or human, she was always ready to hop in the car and go somewhere fun and she was always ready to earn herself a treat. It's always going to be a bit of a heart-breaker for me as I wanted her to stay with us forever, but I feel lucky that she walked into our lives and showed us what a beautiful soul she has.
This was the morning after her spay surgery.
She woke up feeling much better and enjoyed some cuddles with her buddies:)
Then they got treats in the kitchen, mostly for just sitting there, since it was a special occasion.
And then it was time for some sunbathing.
But then it was time to go.
Shaka's new momma was waiting for her baby to come back. And Shaka was so happy to see her! She wiggled with glee, her tail was wagging a mile-a-minute and she jumped up on her for a big pittie hug (not a behavioral pitfall for this reserved girl.) It was not so hard to see her go looking like that!
Enjoy life Honeybee!
Congrats, Shaka!
ReplyDeleteI love those pics of them sitting waiting for a treat. Especially the synchronized head tilts. Adorable!
I love their little faces looking up for a treat. And, I'm so glad Shaka has a new loving home!
ReplyDeleteYou were a wonderful (unintentional) foster mom for her! She's such a well balanced and loving girl thanks to you. I'm sure you'll see her soon :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI have a super sweet award for you if you would like it:

Thank you! I'm all about the sweets!
DeleteSo glad you were able to find Shaka a great home! You did an awesome job with her, loved seeing all of the pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove that smile at the end! Isn't it great to see the love she has for her new mama? You did a great job finding the right fit for her!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love her smile:D
DeleteI just discovered your blog. Wow! This girl (Shaka? Honeybee?) is gorgeous. So are your other two. I can't believe you had three pitties all snuggling together and a cat thrown in as well. That's a beautiful thing. What a great mom you are! Oh, how I wish my pack of two pitties and two kitties was as harmonious. Oh well. We make it work.
ReplyDeleteYour white pittie looks like Chick from Love and a Six-Foot Leash.
Thank you for visiting! I found Shaka as a stray and the first night I brought her home, she hopped on the couch and joined the whole crew:) I had to teach her to sit, but I definitely did not have to teach her to be sweet. That's why Honeybee is her nickname:D
DeleteI've often thought as Norman has grown up that he looks like Chick too!
Wow! What a wonderful ending... err...BEGINNING to Shaka's story! I love that she was so excited to see her new mama - that's got to feel good to know that she has already bonded so much! :)
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Thanks! She is usually so reserved with people that is was awesome to see her jump for joy at the sight of her new momma...a really good sign:D
DeleteI had such a great experience with her, I can't wait to move somewhere that I can foster again and next time I will know it's a foster situation and not get my heart broken again:)
